Terms of Service

Effective September 21, 2026. Plain terms for using SubDomains Finder.

Agreeing to these terms

By using SubDomains Finder (subdomainsfinder.com), whether as a guest or with an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms work alongside our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use and Scan Authorization page, both of which are part of this agreement.

What the service does

SubDomains Finder assembles subdomain, IP, hosting, port, and security information for a domain from public sources: certificate transparency logs, passive DNS datasets, network registry data, and our own port-scan service. We do not send traffic to the domain you enter, and results are only as complete and current as the public sources they come from.

Every lookup, whether you are signed in or not, must be for a domain you own or have written permission to assess. That requirement, what we log about each lookup, and what happens if it is ignored, are all covered on the Acceptable Use page, which is part of these terms.

Accounts

An account is optional. You do not need one to use the scanner at the guest limit. If you create one, you agree to provide an email address you control and to keep your sign-in credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. One account per person: do not create multiple accounts to get around rate limits.

We may suspend or terminate an account for violating these terms, most commonly the authorization requirement in Acceptable Use. You can ask us to delete your account at any time through the contact page.

Free plan and the newsletter

Guests get 3 lookups a day. Creating a free account and subscribing to our newsletter raises that to 20 a day, at no cost and with no card required. The newsletter subscription is a condition of that higher limit, not a separate marketing add-on, and we ask for it as an explicit, unchecked-by-default choice rather than assuming it.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in any issue. Unsubscribing stops the emails and never deletes your account. Subscribing again later is a new, separate decision on your part; we do not re-subscribe an address automatically once it has unsubscribed.

Current tiers and what each includes are listed on the Pricing page, including a paid tier that is planned but not yet available. We may change the free tier's limits or requirements going forward; we will update that page and this one if we do.

Ownership of data and results

We do not own or claim rights over the underlying subdomain, DNS, or hosting data itself; it comes from public sources and reflects whatever those sources publish. The site, its design, and its own written content belong to us. You may use scan results for your own authorized security work; you may not scrape, resell, or redistribute bulk results from this service as your own dataset without our permission.

Disclaimers and limits on liability

The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Passive OSINT data can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong; do not treat a scan result as a complete picture of a domain's attack surface or as a substitute for your own verification.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including decisions made based on scan results. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or block access, for a guest IP or a signed-in account, for violating these terms or the authorization requirement in Acceptable Use. We would rather not; see that page for exactly what triggers it. You may stop using the service, or ask us to delete your account, at any time.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will update the effective date above when we do, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law that applies where SubDomains Finder is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
